**Mitti Recaptures Its Vision with a Fresh Start in Manchester**

Manchester, renowned as a thriving hub for technology, is welcoming the rebranding of a major player in the field: SafetyCulture, which has now transitioned to Mitti. This transformation marks a milestone for the company after ten fruitful years of crafting its identity and success within the city.

Founded in 2004 by Luke Anear in a modest garage in Queensland, Australia, Mitti made its way to Manchester in 2016. The company sought a new home in the UK, and by 2024, it had expanded to a larger facility on Mosley Street, reflecting its growing ambitions and commitment to the region. The recent rebranding signals the firm’s intention to evolve beyond its original mission focused solely on health and safety management systems. Mitti aims to provide an integrated operations platform tailored for frontline workers across various industries.

According to Mitti, the new name represents the “centre of an operation,” where pivotal decisions are made and essential work occurs. This reflects the company’s commitment to enhancing connections between those on the ground and decision-makers at the executive level. Mitti’s solutions are essential for sectors such as manufacturing, construction, and retail, where a significant number of workers do not have traditional desk jobs. The firm’s innovative software collects real-time data from these workers, thereby empowering them and streamlining operations.

Throughout its decade-long presence in the UK, Mitti has successfully garnered a customer base that now boasts over 18,000 organisations. Some of its prominent clients include global brands such as Unilever, H&M, Domino’s Pizza, and Network Rail. Notably, in the North West, William Hare, a structural steelwork firm from Bury, has utilised Mitti’s platform to conduct over 180,000 inspections, which has led to a remarkable reduction in paper use, saving more than one million sheets.

Dawid Jaworski, the EMEA lead at Mitti, expressed optimism about the company’s growth, stating that its platform witnesses a staggering 3.4 million images and 380,000 inspections uploaded daily. “Ten years ago we were a handful of people in a small Manchester office trying to convince businesses that the clipboard had had its day. A decade on, this city is the base from which we serve the entire EMEA region,” Jaworski noted.

Jaworski further acknowledged the significance of location, remarking, “The customers we serve are the industries this region was built on. That proximity matters. Being surrounded by it keeps us honest about who we’re building for.” This connection to Manchester’s industrial roots is not merely sentimental; it is fundamentally intertwined with the company’s mission and objectives.

Currently, Manchester stands as the largest tech economy in the UK outside London, with over 10,000 technology firms established within the city. Mitti’s rebranding coincides with the city’s evolution, reflecting both the company’s growth and the technological landscape of the region. “We built our first decade in Manchester, and we’re building the next one here too,” Jaworski reiterated, emphasising a forward-looking vision anchored in the community.

In addition to its impressive software offerings, Mitti has created an inviting work environment for its employees. When BusinessLive visited the premises in 2024, the open-plan office featured an array of employee-centric amenities, such as an in-house chef, a bar, games room, and even a distinctive purple pool table. These facilities not only enhance employee satisfaction but also foster collaboration and creativity within teams, ultimately contributing to the company’s success trajectory.

Mitti’s ambition extends beyond enhancing operational efficiencies; it also seeks to redefine how frontline workers are integrated into broader operational strategies. By prioritising the needs and insights of non-desk workers, the company is setting a precedent for the industry, demonstrating that effective communication across all levels of an organisation can yield significant benefits.

As the company forges ahead, its focus will remain on expanding its capabilities, particularly through the integration of artificial intelligence into its suite of services. This technological advancement is expected to further improve real-time data utilisation, allowing organisations to make informed decisions faster.

Commenting on this future direction, Jaworski expressed enthusiasm for what lies ahead: “Our commitment to innovation is unwavering. The introduction of AI will revolutionise how our customers engage with data, making our platform not just a tool, but a strategic partner in their operations.”

With its sights firmly set on the future, Mitti is not merely celebrating its past successes but is laying the foundation for the next chapter of its journey in Manchester. As the company continues to evolve, it remains dedicated to empowering frontline workers and enhancing operational efficiency within industries that are fundamental to the economy.

As this vibrant company evolves, Manchester will undoubtedly play a crucial role in its narrative, showcasing the city’s importance on the global technology stage, while capturing the essence of innovation and collaboration that defines the modern workforce.
